Breaking Bad to film in Nob Hill

The AMC Network television series, “Breaking Bad” is scheduled to film in Albuquerque in Nob Hill on January 31st 2011. The details are as follows.

Monday, January 31, 2011  5pm – 12am  Tuesday February 1st, 2011. 3932 Silver Ave SE, 87108

The production will film at a private residence located at 3932 Silver Ave SE. The scene depiction is that a character receives a call. On this day there will be no intermittent traffic control and no street closures. Production work trucks will be parked on both Morningside and Silver Ave. The remaining work trucks will be parked at a base camp.  The base camp will be located at 4119 Central Ave NE. There are no special effects.

Monte Vista Elementary School's 80th Birthday

Come Celebrate Monte Vista Elementary  School's 80th Anniversary and the unveiling of its Natinal Historic Registry Plaque. Friday Night Flicks at Immanuel Presbyterian Church

Pastor David Cameron invites the community to the kick off Friday Night Flicks at Immanuel Presbyterian Church.  "To Kill A Mockingbird" will be shown at 7 p.m. in the chapel.  The classic film will be followed by a half-hour discussion about the ethical and spiritual challenges raised in the film.  There is no charge for admission.  Free popcorn and hot chocolate as well!  This will be a continuing 3rd Friday event.

 
Central Avenue Sidewalk and Street Improvement project from Girard Boulevard to Morningside Drive.

A meeting to discuss the long awaited Central Avenue Sidewalk and Street Improvement Project from Girard Boulevard to Morningside Drivewill be on Wednesday, December 15, 2010, from 6:00PM to 7:00PM at the Highland Senior Center, 131 Monroe St. NE.  The purpose of the project is to provide sidewalk and lighting improvements to facilitate pedestrian movement throughout the area. The meeting is an opportunity for the City to provide information to the public on the project, answer questions, and provide a proposed construction schedule.  Written comments will be accepted at the meeting or they may be mailed or faxed to Jim Hamel, City of Albuquerque, Department of Municipal Development, P.O.
